AYUDH Mangaluru Observed the International Day of Peace

AYUDH Mangaluru marked the International Day of Peace with tagline Partnership - For Peace - Dignity for All at Panambur Beach on Sunday, September 20, 2015, the eve of International Day of Peace.
After inaugurating the programme, Prasad Raj Kanchan, Managing Director, Kanchan Hyundai, Mangalore-Udupi, Chief guest of the occasion said that, Peace is very essential for a prosperous world and appreciated Mata Amritanandamayi's effort towards the same. He called upon people to be tolerant and restore peace'. He released white balloons in the sky symbolising peace.
CA Vaman Kamath, Honorary President, Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi, Mangaluru also reiterated the fact.
FEEL YOUR PRAYERS, FEEL YOUR MANTRAS & YOU FEEL GOD, YOU FIND PEACE was the response to the Peace Prayers chanted in unison guided by Bri Mangalamrta Chaitanya, Head, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Mangaluru.
'Peace within brings Peace without' was the message of the occasion. Peace, Happiness & Harmony are keywords for individual happiness, which propels Universal Prosperity & Wellbeing.
Shruthi Hegde, President, Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi, Mangaluru & Sudeep, AYUDH Co-ordinator, Mangaluru were present on the dais.
Shailashree was the Master of the Ceremony.
The day was observed with events - sand art, song for peace and special attraction Kite Flying from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Lokaha Samasthaha Sukhino Bhavantu was the theme of Sand Art.
The theme of special attraction - Kite Flying was "One Sky, One World ". Over 50 kites were flown, each one symbolising or depicting different countries, thereby different cultures, languages and countries.
AYUDH members and public gathered were seen enthusiastically participating in the kite flying, spreading the message of peace and harmony.
The International Day of Peace is observed on September 21 every year by the UN.
