AYUDH Mumbai launched 'ARPAN' - a humble offering to Amma during Her 66th Birthday Celebrations at Kudsavre Gaon, Vangani, Ambernath, Mumbai whereby 108 tree saplings of various species were planted. Ayudhians from Nerul and Kalyan units enthusiastically participated in this noble venture. They were overwhelmed with Joy by contributing their bit towards Mother Nature!

The initiative started with a ceremony, with a lineup of members of the village panchayat, and senior forest department officials. Shri Raut, a senior forest ranger officer, spoke of maintaining connectivity between man and Nature, and emphasized that the need of the hour is not only planting trees, but also collectively maintaining and conserving them. Br.Avyayamrita Chaitanya spoke about the beneficial properties of plants like neem and tulsi, and their effects on environment.

Concluding the ceremony, AYUDHians in large numbers started the drive, by planting saplings in the wet soil, and achieved their target of planting 108 trees, after a good 2 hours of hard toil.

As part of Trillion Tree Campaign, Ayudhians will continue with the plantation in various parts of Mumbai until the overall target is reached.
