AYUDH Mumbai Visits Amritapuri: A Transformative Journey into Spirituality, Service, and Innovation

AYUDH Mumbai made their visit to Amma’s Ashram at Amritapuri, the Headquarters of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math in Kerela. The trip brought over 40 AYUDH members, giving them the chance to experience the divine realm of Amma’s Ashram, Have Amma's Darshan and explore the vibrant campus of Amrita University.
On Day1, the University visit included series of engaging activities & sessions organized by the Office of Youth Empowerment, featuring introductory sessions on Amma’s leading Humanitarian Projects, and the university’s commitment to pioneering research and innovative initiatives benefiting the world.
Amma inspires by saying, “If we want the world to continue in a sustainable and balanced manner, science and spirituality must unite. The present age and the world around us demand this transformation.”
The day1 starts with a tour of the university exploring the diverse ongoing global projects in various sectors, witnessing how service and innovation can coexist and uplift the world. Presentation on Amrita University & Research was conducted by Dr. Shyam Diwakar, Professor and Director, Amrita Mind Brain Center, Amritapuri. The Project teams of Live-in Labs, Robotics by Ammachi Labs, a fascinating Landslide Detection Demo by WNA Labs, and an illuminating Solar Projects Demo etc. gave a great learning experience to AYUDH members. Project teams engaged the AYUDHians with in-depth presentations and demonstrations inspiring the young minds with ideas on how to leverage technology for humanitarian efforts. Mr Krishnan Pillai, Program Officer at Amrita Center for International Programs interacted with AYUDHians on International Program opportunities.
AYUDH Mumbai’s experiences at Amritapuri and Amrita University, created a narrative that emphasizes the fusion of spirituality, service, research and humanitarian projects on the first day of their visit.
The day concluded with a serene evening of meditation, soulful Satsang, and melodious bhajans in Amma’s divine presence.
The highlight of the whole visit was receiving Amma’s Darshan – Amma's divine hug.
Here’s what our AYUDHians have to say about their experience:
"We are really impressed to see how much Amma is doing for the villages and for the women in India. By seeing the humanitarian technology projects, we are motivated to use our technical skills and knowledge for helping the poor and needy. We have not seen or heard of people doing this much for society. Thank you Amma for being the inspiration behind all of these projects. The projects at Amrita University opened my eyes to the limitless possibilities of technology making a positive impact. Feeling inspired!!. Attending Amma's program was a transformative experience. The power of meditation and the sense of community are unforgettable. Most of us had Amma’s first Darshan. Feeling tuned with the Divine and feeling so blessed! " remarked AYUDHians.
