AYUDH Bhubaneswar Chapter Conducts Cleanup Drive at Haridamada

Cyclone fani has left destruction in its wake, not even sparing the trees of the coastal districts of odisha. More than 10million trees got uprooted in the extremely severe cyclone. Many roads are blocked and this is the primary reason of not getting electricity and water supply in many interior areas of Puri, Khurda and Cuttuck districts. In order to curtail the encumbrance of the government a small initiative was taken by the AYUDH Bhubaneswar chapter on 14th May 2019.

AYUDH bhubaneswar chapter organized a cleanup drive at Haridamada, Jatni, Odisha.

The volunteers of AYUDH bhubaneswar chapter, took this initiative to clean the whole village, which was destructed by the severe cyclone. With zest and zeal, the enthusiastic volunteers steered the clean up drive to success through their efforts, the support of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the people in the village.

The volunteers share, "We worked hard and enjoyed every second of it. This encourages us to continue our service for our environment."

"Now our main task will be to ensure replantation of the uprooted trees to receive the green cover. Hence, very soon we will be starting plantation programs in many affected areas of puri and khurda district of odisha." said Shradha, the coordinator of Bhubaneswar Chapter.
