Ayudh Goa Celebrates Shivaratri

Ayudh Goa Celebrates Shivaratri

“Shivaratri is a celebration of sacrifice, dispassion and renunciation. Shivaratri teaches us to abandon all other thoughts in contemplation of #God , and to realize the ultimate purpose of human life.” “By observing the vows associated with Shivaratri, one fosters sattvic qualities.” “Actually, every day should become Shivaratri. Simply keeping awake and forgoing sleep is not enough. We have to awaken to that state (Shiva). We need to gain awareness in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Then everyday becomes Shivaratri.” “The #Shivalinga is not a symbol of one particular religion; it actually stands for a scientific principle. The Shivalinga is a microcosm of that vast cosmic egg. When we worship the Shivalinga, we are, in fact, worshipping the entire universe as the Auspicious Form and as the Divine Consciousness, this is not the worship of a God who sits somewhere beyond the sky. This teaches us that any selfless service rendered to the universe, including to all living beings, is worship of Shiva.” These were some of Amma’s words that the enthusiastic team of AYUDHians from #Goa presented to a curious group of students at the Goa College of Commerce & Economics, Borda. At the end of the session many from among the audience came up to volunteer as part of AYUDH. The #AYUDH team felt immensely grateful to Amma for the opportunity to learn and spread the real meaning & purpose of #Shivaratri . They said that they were so lucky to be part of AYUDH India
