AYUDH India organizes Youth Camp at Sidhbari, Himachal Pradesh
AYUDH (Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara), conducted a 3-day Residential National Youth Camp Samarpan 2019 in the foothills of Himalayas, Sidhbari, from Aug 9th to 11th.
The camp was attended by around 70+ students from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Himachal, and Afghanistan. The theme of the camp was Rise & Shine and focused on inner personal growth, team building activities, building self-confidence, and leadership programs, Indian culture, and values, rising beyond limitations.
The camp was inaugurated by Acharyaji from Chinmaya Mission, Tapovan. He shared his wisdom with the students during an interactive session with them, talking about Sanatan Dharma in student life.
Students learned Meditation technique known as Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique (IAM), a powerful technique. It is a unique blend of yogic exercises plus meditation and helps with concentration and reduces stress, anxiety.
Realizing the importance of self-defense, a Martial Arts Workshop was conducted by Dr. Sujit – a Third Degree International Black Belt and Principal, Shahid Vikram Batra Degree College, Palampur.
The camp featured many social activities like Tree planting. It gave a chance to the students to be one with nature. Many native fruit trees were planted. The students also sowed seed balls in the forest and pledged more for the future.
During the camp, students went for a silent nature walk, walking with awareness in every step, thus connecting to their inner core.
Inspired by Swachh Bharat Campaign, students did cleanliness drive at Kangra bus stand and conducted a rally on the importance of keeping the surroundings clean by shouting slogans like ‘Swachh Bharat, Swastha Bharat’ and ‘Hum sab ka hai ek hi naara, swastha rahe Bharat hamara’.
The camp also had inspiring talks by SP Dharamshala, DSP Dharamshala Jail. They stressed the importance of being focussed in life, developing leadership skills, following Dharma and being fearless.
The AYUDH group launched a new initiative, 1008 – Life free from Cellphones. Under this initiative, many students pledged not to use their cellphones from 10 pm to 8 am every day.
