AYUDH Kolkata Organized ASWAS
AYUDH Kolkata organized ASWAS (AYUDHians Spreading Warmth And Smiles), the Winter Clothing Drive in Kolkata with the noble aim of bringing warmth to those in need. The collected winter wears were generously given to Old Age homes at #Behala, embodying the spirit of care and compassion.
The AYUDHians, driven by the values of service, visited the Old Age homes, where they not only distributed winter wear but also spent quality time with the residents. The shared moments were filled with joy, prayers and bhajans creating an atmosphere of happiness.
Amma says, "In life, it is not how much we take but how much we give that creates true abundance and fulfilment."
The #ASWAS Winter Cloth Collection Drive in #Kolkata stands as a testament to the power of collective compassion, spreading smiles and making a positive impact on the lives of the elderly in Behala at Kolkata
“Our visit to the old age home on Sunday was an ineffable experience for me. The immense love showered by the grandpas and grandmas residing there is beyond explanation. Many of them were even unable to sit up or stand properly but their happiness due to our visit reflected on their faces which was all we wanted. Would be looking forward for more events like this in the future”, remarked Debayan Das from Heritage institute of Technology, Kolkata
“Those happy smiling faces after receiving the winter clothes seemed to have transformed our mind. I'll never forget them...A single paragraph or text message is not enough to express the experience. Thanks to the AYUDH for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to having more events in future”, said Tomogno Banerjee from Ashutosh College
“The visit gave us a lesson that we cry over small things and don't care what God has given us. Seeing them I realized our problems are not as big as theirs... At some point they were not even believing that we came for them to spend some time, or we came to give winter wears and all. They were so happy after seeing that we bought them gifts. My special thanks to AYUDH for this great opportunity. And I wish to do the same in future events and programs”, said Drishti Keshri from Amrita Vidyalayam, Kolkata.
“It's my lifetime dream that in the future I'll be donating some valuable things for the poor, but I really didn't have to wait for the future because AYUDH helped me a lot! And that's why I joined AYUDH and I'm very happy that I got the leadership too on the good deeds”, remarked Srijoni Chatterjee from Amrita Vidyalayam, Kolkata
Divyansh Agarwal from Amritavidyalayam Kolkata said “By my side, it was a great experience as I got such an opportunity to help them talk to them and spend time with them. Their smiles after spending time with us melted all our hearts. We spoke to them, shared our love and they sang songs for us. They shared their sadness and personal stories with us. Although we enjoyed it a lot, we wanted to visit again and spend more time with them”.
