AYUDH Mumbai Organized a Virtual Amrita Yoga Therapeutic Session
AYUDH Mumbai organized a virtual Amrita Yoga therapeutic session for the COVID recovered patients. The session was conducted by Bri. Shobhana, Director, Amrita Yoga, Amritapuri, Kerala.
The session included Yoga postures and deep breathing exercises that are extremely beneficial for restoring immunity and rejuvenating health.
With the rise in the number of COVID recovered cases, AYUDH Mumbai had embarked upon an initiative of tele-counseling. After a training session in counseling by a clinical psychologist, the volunteers made calls to many covid recovered people of various age groups. In the course of these calls, AYUDH volunteers were exposed to the trials and tribulations faced by those who were tested Covid positive. It was heartening to find out that most of these were more than willing to engage in a follow-up session. Due to such an overwhelming response, the Mumbai team organized therapeutic yoga session for the first set of their counselees. The session concluded with a set of audio-visual animated clips created by AYUDH Mumbai, reaffirming the need to practice Covid etiquettes. The feedback from the participants was highly encouraging and bears testimony to the effectiveness of the session. More such tele-counseling and follow-up sessions are being planned by the Mumbai AYUDH Team.
