AYUDH Mumbai Western Suburbs Celebrates World Environment Day 2024 with Tree Plantation Drive

In celebration of World Environment Day 2024, AYUDH Mumbai Western Suburbs took a significant step towards environmental sustainability with a tree plantation drive at MBMC Garden in Bhayandar, Mumbai. As the world faces escalating environmental challenges, the message of personal responsibility in healing the planet was emphasized through this initiative.

Varun Salian, a core member of AYUDH Mumbai Western Suburbs, shared his inspiration drawn from Amma’s teachings. "Amma says, when we see Mother Nature as the embodiment of God, we will automatically serve and protect her. Amma's words inspire me with immense strength and dedication to care for Mother Nature. I believe in not just taking action today but in consistently engaging in activities that will heal the earth," he said.

World Environment Day serves as a poignant reminder that, while we cannot turn back time, we can grow forests, revive water sources, and restore the health of our soil. It calls for active participation in creating a harmonious relationship with the land, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

Amma’s teachings on environmental preservation resonate deeply, as she encourages all to take a personal pledge: “Forests play the most important role in the preservation of harmony in nature. Every country should strive to protect its remaining forests and to plant as many trees as possible. Every single one of us should take a promise to plant a tree a month, so every person plants 12 trees every year."

The tree plantation drive at MBMC Garden marked not only a single day's effort but also a commitment to ongoing action and dedication to preserving our environment. Through such initiatives, AYUDH continues to inspire individuals to contribute meaningfully towards a healthier, greener planet.
