AYUDH Pune marked World Environment Day 2024 by organizing a Seed Ball Distribution and Awareness Campaign at Durga Tekdi, Pune. The event aimed to promote reforestation and educate the local community on sustainable environmental practices.

The campaign, which involved distributing seed balls to local residents, encouraged them to participate in reforestation efforts by throwing the seed balls into nearby forest areas during the rainy season. Additionally, volunteers handed out leaflets detailing the significance of seed balls and how they can be made easily at home.

Speaking about the initiative, Vaishnavi Pande, a senior AYUDH Pune volunteer, said, "We felt very good conducting a green initiative program for the local people. Many localities were interested in knowing about the seed ball process and they were happy to make more seed balls and dispose when the rain starts. We take it as our responsibility towards our Mother Nature to try every possible way to protect her."

The event was a testament to the collective effort required to address global environmental challenges. Amma's words, "Nature is God's visible form that we can see and experience through our senses. By loving and serving nature, we are directly worshiping God," resonated with the citizens of Pune, who actively participated in the initiative.

The campaign's success highlights the importance of community-driven initiatives in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.
