Parents of Alumni and Senior Students of Amrita Vidyalayam attended the AYUDH Orientation Program at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Swamini Shamadamrita Prana, the Director of the school explained the importance of being part AYUDH and how AYUDH as a youth platform help the students to be part of Amrita and do good things even after passing out from the school. She also added, this is a great opportunity for the students to learn and practice what they learned from Amrita.
Bri Amritatmika Chaitanya, Coordinator & Asst. Professor from Office of Youth Empowerment, Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus explained the benefits of being part of AYUDH, the remarkable achievements of AYUDH Global and how Amrita Alumni act as role models and AYUDH ambassadors in other professional colleges and universities. She also gave an introduction about the upcoming AYUDH Self-Management Internship programme which is aimed to train the young generation to lead a value based meaningful life by practicing Sanatana Dharma Principles in their daily life.
Amma says, “If parents really love their children, they should make their children understand and assimilate spiritual truths which would give mental strength and control in order to confront the challenges of life.”
Dr Anushree Pandya, AYUDH Coordinator from Ahmedabad said, how Amma inspired her to do all actions with seva attitude and how AYUDH helped her to practice Amma’s teaching in daily life. She said, in spite of her busy schedule she finds time to coordinate AYUDH events and it is in fact helping her to perform well in her profession and also bringing lots of happiness and satisfaction. She also shared her experiences on how AYUDH helped her to serve the society in the time of Covid outbreak.
“I did my early childhood education abroad. When I returned to India and joined Amrita Vidyalayam, AYUDH has helped me a lot to learn more about our culture and values and it has boosted my confidence level a lot. I really enjoy coordinating AYUDH events and it is really nice to work with like-minded youngsters for the good cause”, said Ms Saishweta from 12th class, Amrita Vidyalayam.
After the session, the parents expressed their gratitude for giving their children such a golden opportunity to learn and grow as a good individual. After hearing from the current AYUDHians and seeing them talk with such confidence and talking about the values they learnt through AYUDH, the parents felt really touched and wanted their children to sign up with AYUDH.
Sanatana Dharma is the sum total of all the spiritual principles, pathways of spiritual practice and customs leading to the moral and spiritual upliftment of everyone.
