World Energy Conservation Day 2020 Observed by Ayudhians

‘Go Climate Neutral’- Today, on World Energy Conservation Day, a workshop on Responsible Energy Consumption was organized. AYUDHians invited Mr Trilochan Thorsten Brehm from Germany who is an expert in climate and sustainability management. Mr Thorsten was inspired by Amma’s Life and Mission and returned to India to serve the humanity & nature. The workshop upskilled AYUDHians judicious ways to use resources and prevent energy wastage; thereby exercising responsible energy consumption on individual and community levels. AYUDHians also learned to recognize energy saving potential of day to day products and appliances and introduced to energy saving alternatives.

The workshop saw wonderful interactions between the participants and the resource person. Importantly, there was an interesting discussion on how to reduce their carbon footprint by living consciously; cognizant of the sustainability needs of the planet in years to come. The workshop was a subset of larger government initiatives to create innovative policies and use effective market instruments to combat climate change.

Given tangible tools and knowledge to protect Earth, AYUDHians felt greatly empowered. It was inspiring to see AYUDHians who went abroad for higher studies and jobs, joining their teams virtually from USA and France also.
