Ayudh - Awaken Youth; Unite for Dharma

WorldWaterDay is celebrated all around the globe on 22nd of March, every year. This year, the members of AYUDH chapter, Amritavidyalayam, Bhubaneswar, took an initiative to spread awareness on World water day conducting awareness campaigns, workshops, idea writing and poster competition on water conservation in their school.

We have conducted presentations where the #AYUDH coordinators elaborately explained to the school children the hazards faced by the water resources and the measures through which they could help saving them as we showed them educational posters and videos for the same. The theme of 2019 World Water Day is “Leaving no one behind “came into focus through the presentation and videos.

After this we conducted an inter-group poster making competition in which the students were asked to write ideas and to represent the topic on saving water in their daily life.

Following this was a demonstration of the SIP method of small scale drip plantation that the children could practice themselves and grow samplings in the school premises and at home. Finally, we together sang a song on water conservation and pasted awareness posters to save water, near the washing areas in the school.

The prize was distributed for the winners of poster making and the session concluded by taking a  pledg to save even the single  dropofwater  and spreading awareness among people, and to celebrate world water day every year.
