Ayudh - Awaken Youth; Unite for Dharma

In alignment with the theme "Be the Light," AYUDH India from the Youth Empowerment Group of Amrita University recently conducted a series of empowering workshops for youth across Himachal Pradesh. The sessions, which were held at Government Degree College in Dharamshala and KLB DAV College for Girls in Palampur, saw participation from over 500 students spanning diverse disciplines, including Computer Science, MBA, B.Ed., and Arts/Commerce. Teachers and principals also engaged actively in the workshops.

One of the participating students shared her thoughts: "I am really glad that I attended the program. It was a very inspirational experience. I am facing many issues in my life, but the inspiring talk led me to believe that I am still growing and can overcome the hurdles in front of me. This program rekindled the zeal to do something, to be someone. I see it as a gift, a powerful reminder that we can."

The Principal of KLB DAV College for Girls echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the significance of the workshops: "Many of our students have not traveled outside their cities, and this was a good exposure for them. Our B.Ed. students, and future teachers, greatly benefit from such sessions. It helps instill self-confidence and empathy, which are crucial in understanding and supporting their future students."

The youth also took part in an IAM session held at a Yoga Retreat Center in McLeod Ganj, a city nestled in the Dhauladhar mountain range, known as "Little Lhasa" due to its large Tibetan population. The session drew participants from around the world, including France, Spain, the US, and the UK, making it a globally inclusive event.

In addition, Himachal AYUDH members and devotees participated in a Bhagawati puja for World Peace, singing bhajans and chanting the Divine Mother's names, creating a peaceful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

These workshops and sessions empowered the youth with leadership qualities and provided them with spiritual nourishment, reflecting AYUDH's mission to foster capable, compassionate leaders for tomorrow.
