Ayudh - Awaken Youth; Unite for Dharma

Amma says, “On the plank, leave some water for the birds to drink and a handful of grain. In the heat of the summer, let the birds come and drink the water and eat the grain”. Inspired by Amma’s words, AYUDH Bhubaneshwar, Odisha team launched the Bird Feeder Project during the AYUDH Get-Together 2022. The Ayudhians made bird feeders from waste plastic bottles, both grain feeder and water feeder and installed them on trees. They were happy that, instead of online events, they could meet together and do an outdoor activity this time which has been organized as part of International Mother Earth Day 2022.

“There are flock of birds wander around this area chirping sweetly. Peak summers take a toll not just on humans, but also on birds and animals. We heard that many birds dying of thirst and hunger during summers. We are so happy that we could do our bit as ‘Bhuta Yagna’. We feel, serving birds is less of an obligation and more of a celebration of our responsibility towards living beings. Also we could reuse the waste plastic bottles for a good cause”, said Ayudhians.
