Ayudh - Awaken Youth; Unite for Dharma

As part of UPAHAAR, a token of love for AMMA on Her birthday, AYUDH Bhubaneswar chapter conducted OrganicTerrace Gardening Workshop on September 27, 2019 at Sri Sai Saraswati School @ Bhubaneswar. The main objective of the workshop was to inculcate self reliance, Enrichment of environment among young students, and reconnection with the powers of nature.

The session was introduced by AYUDH Bhubaneswar coordinator Guru Rakshit, making them aware regarding the main objective of workshop. The workshop began by division of students in to groups. Each group was guided by the AYUDH volunteers for proper execution of workshop. The workshop included the interactive session, demonstration and hands on training for the student. The team showed “How the students could practice organic gardening” using coconut husk, soil and other natural products. Students were provided with basic requirements such as dry leaves, organic manure, coconut fibre etc. The student practiced and successfully learnt the concept of organic terrace gardening. After that, the instruction guide was provided to the student which included care taking stages.

It was followed by photography session, where students, teachers and AYUDH volunteers participated. At the closure of workshop, an announcement was made regarding distribution of prizes for best care taker group after one month. This acted as a reinforcement tool for them. The children enjoyed the whole concept of organic terrace gardening. The participation from the student was commendable.
