AYUDH Self-Management Internship Program (ASIP) held in Durgapur
AYUDH Self-Management Internship Program (ASIP) held in Durgapur
What an amazing start to the AYUDH Self-Management Internship Program (ASIP) held in Durgapur, West Bengal with a beautiful ceremony of lighting Diyas by all the participants, signifying the spreading of knowledge and goodness. As Amma says, "If each one of us lights a small lamp, the strength of the light will multiply, and everything can be illumined." The light of the Diyas symbolizes the light of goodness, the light of Dharma, and the light of knowledge that dispels the darkness of ignorance in our lives.
The program was conducted as part of the C20 Integrated Holistic Health (IHH) Working Group events. The aim of this program is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of how Sanatana Dharma practices can promote mental and physical health, align one's actions with their deepest values, and ultimately lead to a greater understanding of one's true Self. The ASIP is designed to help participants integrate these principles into their day-to-day lives, leading to a more fulfilling and purposeful existence.
Amrita Vidyalayam Principal Brahmacharini Gunatitamrita Chaitanya gave a motivational speech on the importance of practicing Dharma in one’s life and the relevance of Sanatana Dharma in the modern age.
Through a value-based Bingo Game, the participants got to know each other, their positive practices and how much their friends know about the Indian culture and heritage and their love for Mother Nature.
The Bhagavad Gita discussion was one of the most inspiring events in the program. The participants chanted Gita Slokas together and learned the detailed definition and meaning from the facilitators. They brainstormed and came up with real-life scenarios based on the given Gita Slokas for their presentations. As Amma says, "In the Gita, Lord Krishna teaches that spirituality is something we have to live in our day-to-day life – it is for everyone and is especially applicable to all who want to live life full of happiness and contentment."
A quiz on Sanatana Dharma was conducted, which was a wonderful event to test participants' knowledge. The participants said they learned several concepts in-depth through fun with great team spirit.
The day ended with interesting assessments, and the participants are excited to learn more in the upcoming days.
